I grew up loving the Mary Tyler Moore show.  I guess I had dreams of moving out of town and living on my own.  I loved her cute apartment.  And the thing that has stuck with me about Mary Richards' apartment was the big letter "M" she had hanging on her wall.

So when I saw this "a" it reminded me of that show.  I'm not sure if you could purchase the "a" above or if someone made it from a treasure find.  But I think everyone should have their letter displayed proudly on their wall.

I'm not sure why that image stuck with me but it did.  I loved her apartment, the shag carpeting, the upper level of the living room.  What a dream apartment.

And don't even get me started about that pumpkin cookie jar.  That's the other thing I remember vividly about her apartment besides her neighbor Rhoda.

And at some point the "M" on her wall changed to a bigger gold one.  That's the one I remembered and liked.
