Little Men, Little Women and March

For February and March I plan on rereading "Little Women" and reading "Little Men".  "Little Women" has been a favorite since childhood.  I've never read "Little Men" before; but I think I might have read it when I was young.  I mean I do recall that Jo and her husband has a boys school or something like that.

And after I've finished these (which by the way are free on Kindle) I plan on reading a new book called "March" by Geraldine Brooks.  It's a Pulitzer prize winning novel which imagines the story of Mr. March, the father of the March girls from "Little Women".  In "Little Women, we know he was with his troops but in this new novel we find out about him and how his life was greatly changed by wartime experiences.

I love the March family so I'm very interested to read this book.  Growing up I wanted to be Jo March.  Perhaps that is why I collect so many journals and pens.

What was your favorite childhood book?  Would love to hear about it.
