New Headboard.... Pleaseeeeeeeee
We bought our bedroom set in 1989, the year we got married. It was solid oak. I'm bored with it. Except for my husband, I don't have anything from 1989 except for this furniture.
I was looking at a catalog the other day and came across this:
It's like a garden gate fence. I really like this look, which is completely different that that solid block of oak we have.
It comes in this creamy shabby chic color or in green:
I think the sections are 36 inches wide and since we have a king size bed, I'm going to have to figure out if 3 would work. But I might also head over to Home Depot or Lowe's to see if they have garden or trellis things.
I know my Uncle Sonny took a grape arbor and turned that into a mini canopy for one of their bedrooms. And it's very cute.
I don't have a picture of it, but I found this on the internet so you can sort of imagine what it might look like in a bedroom.
So my mind is all aflutter with ideas for my bedroom. I just have to convince Hubby to give the hunk of oak a rest.

Love the "except for my husband, I don't have anything from 1989 except for this furniture" comment. Made me smile!
I love the idea of the gates for the headboard. I hope that you find just what you are looking for at Lowes or Home Depot. I can't wait to see or hear more about it. Your ideas are great ones!
Hugs,
