Daylight Savings Time - Sucks

What will you be doing at 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning?  I'll be dabbing tears from my eyes as the hour hand on the clock springs forward an hour.

This time, this daylight savings time, will be a challenge for me.  My internal mechanisms along with the extra sunlight don't play well together.  My body never really recovers to this time change.

I'm a night person.  I always have been and I'll always will be.  I go to bed at 2:00 a.m. and I get up at 5:52 a.m.  But now 2:00 a.m. is really 1:00 a.m. and I'm not sleepy.  So I go to bed at the old 2:00 a.m. which is now 3:00 a.m.  but I still have to wake up at 5:52 a.m. which I know is only 4:52 a.m..  Some where I'm fighting for those 60 extra minutes that means so much.

So until November 3, 2013 -- when the clocks as well as my body sync back up -- I'll be a walking zombie.

EB, the REST of us go to bed so much earlier--you are SO BLESSED! In order to get up at 5:52am, I would have to go to bed at 9:52pm just to feel HALFWAY decent...YOU my dear, have FOUR PRECIOUS EXTRA HOURS!! I think of you all of the time when I am forcing myself to go to bed to get by on my eight. I think of all that you accomplish in your days (I see it on FB and it makes me tired sometimes) ; I am more than a little bit jealous of you!

Just don't tear anyone's head off...or get an ax through your head accidentally :) xoO

I am a night person, too....but I am thankful for the time to be changed back during this 9 month period. My daughter drives home late in the evening from work and has to drive a good distance, and I am thankful that she will now be driving home in daylight. A selfish reason for me...but one that is dear to my heart.
Hugs,
J.

I just wish in the Fall when we set the clocks back, they would leave them at that time. This morning when taking Audrey to school, it was dark again and with the rain, it's hard to see when a kid in dark clothing with no reflectors on their clothing is walking. I wish we could vote on if we wanted it or not.I don't want the time change, throws the body off. I'm also one that dos well later in the day. It takes me till lunch time to even get started. LOL I guess that was one reason I liked working the 2-10 shift at school.
