My Sidekick Robin

The little guy/gal was waiting at my front door when I got home today.  I had noticed the robin's return last week. Last year we had a robin family that nested in a bush in front of my bedroom.  All summer long, the robin would be in front by my car, pulling a long worm out of the ground in the morning, and would be hopping around my parking place when I got home.  I really began to think he was waiting for me.  So then I would throw him little treats.

I don't know if this is the same robin, but he doesn't fly away.  You can talk to him and he watches you.  As you can tell I just love birds.

I really wouldn't have noticed him tonight, but he was rubbing his little head against this branch.  I noticed snow falling from the tree and looked up.   I, of course, said "well hello little guy".  He made a little chirp.

I'm pretty sure he said "Hey hello there, isn't this snow beautiful?"

And then he just stood back so I could take his picture (which was the first one in this series).  This little guy will be getting a treat tonight.

I love birds, too. I get this love from my Mama. She feeds hundreds of them every day. And, they do get to know you. Love these photos!
