A Spring Collage and a Little More
Below is another collage I finished up last night. I found these little children in caps and hats. Don't they look like they are ready to go on an Easter Egg Exploration?
Hubby doesn't like this one. He thinks the eyes are creepy.
It's hard to believe that last Saturday we were having a major snowstorm. There is very little snow left in our yard today. Just the bottom of a huge snowman that Alex and his friend worked on last week. Here's a picture of two little girls that were playing during the snow. I happened to look outside my front door and they were sliding down a tiny slope... enjoying the snow.
And last but not least... I have to tell you about a new movie out on DVD. It is "Dan in Real Life" which centers on Dan (Steve Carell), a cautious widower who has walled off his heart. His teenage daughter, caught up in her first messy, teary romance, calls her father a "murderer of love."
A gorgeous fall weekend finds Dan and his daughters at his parents' rambling beach house for the annual Burns family gathering. In the jumble of siblings, in-laws and cousins, his loneliness is thrown into sharp focus.
While running an errand in town, he meets a vibrant woman, Marie (Juliette Binoche, "The English Patient"). Attraction is instant.
But Dan and Marie can't be together. I can't tell you why. But they end up spending the weekend together under the same roof, struggling to keep a rein on their growing mutual attraction and keeping their feelings secret.
By the end of the movie, Dan has learned that love is messy, teary and glorious, even when it's inconvenient. The movie is a little predictable... or maybe it ends just the way you want a romantic comedy to end. But it's a perfect feel good movie... and something I rarely do... but I'm going to watch it again tonight before shipping it back to Netflix.
If you get a chance to rent this great little flick, let me know what you think about it?
Well... enough for now. It's time for me to take another practice test.
