Tibetan Buddhist Monks vist Dayton Ohio

A group of monks visited Dayton Ohio last week to create a sand mandala and then the ceremonial release of the sand into the water.

I went down on my lunch hour to watch these amazing artists. The precision of the sand placement is truly remarkable:



The intensity of the colors were so vibrant and alive. The message of course of peace and love.

And then the sand art was wiped away... gathered in a glass vase and taken to the water for it's release:
