365 Day Challenge - Day 13

It rained last night and it has rained all day today. Spring is definitely in the air, and the air also smells like earthworms. When I left this morning, the pavement was covered in earthworms. There were hundreds of them. It was hard to avoid stepping in them.

These guys or gals were lined up by the driver's side of the car this morning.

When it rains too much they come above ground, but most often they get run over by cars. There use to be a man, that came along on his bike with an old coffee can, and he would pick up the worms from the street, to go fishing, save him having to buy them or go looking after night for the night crawlers.
