The Sessions
Have you seen it? Hubby and son were out this evening, so it was a perfect night to curl up with a good movie. And this was a very, very good movie.
Based off poet and journalist Mark O’Brien’s essay “On Seeing a Sex Surrogate”, The Sessions follows Mark (John Hawkes), a severely disabled man who lives in the confines of an iron long, through a journey of sexual awakening and self-discovery as he attempts to cross a perceived divide into adulthood.
The acting was pretty amazing. I know Helen Hunt had been nominated as best supporting actress in this movie. And she was good. But John Hawkes was brilliant as Mark.
This movie will definitely be in my top 10 this year. Let me know if you've seen it? Happy Thursday.
