November 1st....

I woke up this morning and snow blankets my car.  I guess that is November's way of saying Hello.

I'm looking forward to this month as we are traveling to Mississippi to meet up with a friend from college and share a Thanksgiving meal and then we are traveling to New Orleans.  It will be my first time there.  This is a city I have wanted to visit for a very long time.

Alex has decided not to come with us.  This will be his first time home alone and it will be strange not to have him with us.  However, he is 22 and I'm sure he is looking forward to being alone.
