Making a Transparency

One day I was watching a Scrapbook show on DIY Network. This woman was demonstrating how you can make homemade transparencies. You print out the image on a printer that contains toner... or take your ink-jet image to a copy shop and have it copied.

Then you take a piece of clear packing tape and place over your image. You smooth out the air bubbles. You place the taped image in a bowl of warm water... wait a few minutes and begin to rub off the paper from the back of the tape.

Magically the image is transferred to the back of the tape.

Naturally... I couldn't believe it would be that easy.

So... I had to try... And guess what?

It really works! Sort of amazing actually. These Irish Dancers are for a March ATC Swap I'm participating in.

Very nice and good information. I just told your mother that when I was teaching we used to do this and used the same technique. It seemed to amaze the students.

I also used to do it at home when I was publishing the draw or scribe magazines.

It is nice to show this information, Angela, because most people have no idea it works.
