Move Day

AT&T uverse was suppose to get to my house between 9 am to 11 am.  Jim (our AT&T technician) called at 8:15 am and said he could be there in 20 minutes.  Yikes; one of the TVs weren't over to the new house yet.

After Uverse was installed we drover over to Mickey Dee's to grab some breakfast, only to have our movers call and say they were finished early and they could move us in about 20 minutes.  They were suppose to arrive at 2:00 and it was only 10:30.

We went on frantic mode and dropped Gary off at old house and Alex and I to new house.

The movers arrived at 11:00 and were gone by 12:30.  They are fast and tiny.  It's sort of amazing how much stuff they can lift with their tiny frames.  The company is Daniel's Movers and they have moved us 5 times.  They only charge $68 an hour for 2 men and they have a 2 1/2 hour minimum.  We just usually pay them $200.00.  It's so worth it.

Now the unpacking begins.

Grandma's lamp and my favorite buddha did arrive in one piece.... so I'm happy about that.

I'm happy that your precious things arrived in one piece, too, Angie.
Those movers are fast...
It's unusual for someone to be early and not late!
Go girl. Enjoy....and smooth moving!!

wow that sounds great..the price and everything (about the movers!)...I think I had to pay a LOT more than that...just for guys loading my truck in Colorado before moving back to Ohio...and then from the storage locker to here it was a lot more...seemed to take them forever too..but I had a lot of boxes and no real furniture to move in other than my kitchen table and chairs....excited to see your new place. SO...you have a porch??

Yes I would call it a porch. It's covered, all my patio furniture sits there. Can't wait to decorate for Halloween.
