Bye Bye Afrin

Nine years ago I started using Afrin nose spray.  And I used it properly.  Every 12 hours I would squirt the dose in each nostril.  But after a short period of time, I started using the 12 hour nose spray every 8 to 10 hours and then 6 to 8 hours and then every 4 hours.  I knew I was an addict.

I tried several times throughout these nine years to stop using Afrin, but the rebound symptom from not using their product is so unbearable. It's scary not being able to breathe.

One of my greatests fears was being kidnapped and having duct tape placed over my mouth.  If this would have happened I knew I would be dead in 5 hours because I wouldn't be able to breathe out of my nose.

I'm happy to report that I have thrown out all my bottles.  It's been over a week since I stopped using Afrin. I finally, finally kicked the habit.

Thanks so much. I know it probably seems so weird to be addicted to nose spray but wow it's so fantastic not having to use it and to be able to actually breathe.
